REJUVENATION OF THE LIVELY VALLEY

The aim is to revive the region and to reestablish its historical credit as a green and lively valley, linking to the center. Considered as an urban betterment project, the masterplan is to gain an urban layer of 21st century. The idea is supported by the reanimation of the Kağıthane River that will engender a natural living environment in the city center. Ineffectively used, precious inner city area will be regenerated and regained with all inclusive regulations sensitive to social changes and needs and daily requirements, in a humane approach such as reintroducing nature in the city center. Highest hill of the area has been recognized as the height boundary and attention for the tallest building belonging to the construction section in the master plan to not exceed this boundary has been paid.  Housing shall be performed in areas located between two green areas by rising upward from the creek. With this approach, housing proposed to be lower in zones near the coastline will have the capability of being taller at certain points as it furthers away; consequently enable gaining more of the green area without expending horizontally.
