LOOKING BACK, LOOKING FORWARD
The aim of the contemporary architect is to design the reality of the present and the future with the aid of technology, and to devise pioneering and permanent works at the dawn of the 21st century, by taking care of natural resources as well as environmental and humanitarian needs and creating a relationship between the past and the future.
As in every other context, in architecture the knowledge and tradition transferred from the past can be found in our genes. Therefore, designers have to imagine the future without denying the past, so as to provide a coherent present. The aesthetics of our time will be the reflection of all those connections.
