After the Atatürk Cultural Center became a part of the city’s art and cultural scene, the area situated on the terrace of the main building was designed to embody Istanbul and its culture in every aspect.

Istanbul, having been a key point on the Silk and Spice routes and serving as the capital for two great empires, has acquired a rich tapestry of cultures through commercial and cultural exchanges. The city’s unique food culture, extending beyond Anatolia and Ottoman lands, is a blend of diverse ingredients.

The restaurant space, spatially and programmatically divided into compartments, serves as a patisserie, brasserie, bar, restaurant, and fine-dining establishment. Each compartment features unique design aspects and its own kitchen.

The AKM Terrace restaurant not only contributes financially to the cultural enterprise but also provides all Istanbulites with access to a breathtaking view. Serving as an intermediate space before performances, it stands as an example of contemporary architecture and is an integral part of a valuable artistic performance structure within one of Istanbul’s significant cultural centers.
